First time I have used this service. I got a message the car would be 5 min. Then another message the car has arrived—super fast service. The driver was nice, and chatty and got me to my destination quickly. Appreciate it.
Nottingham Winter Wonderland What Is It
Christmas is coming and that means the winter wonderland will be returning to Nottingham’s city centre. The ‘Old England’ themed event will bring a fabulous Christmas market, a stunning ice rink, and two themed bars to the city.All happening from Saturday the 19th Nov 2016 to Sunday the 8th Jan 2017
Christmas Gift and Craft Market
There’s bound to be something for everyone at the Nottingham Christmas Market, traders will be selling luxury leather goods, confectionary, ladies fashions, handmade gifts, homemade cakes, festive items and a great deal more.
A bigger and improved ice rink
The ice rink returns and is bigger than ever before, this year it will be 25m x 30 m and will even sport glowing LEDs in the handrails and have lights all around the rink.
Anyone can skate as long as they are aged 4 or over, though booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Two bars
One bar will be a large Victorian style bar, giving great views of the ice rink and bandstand. Whereas the other is a unique one; it’s a Helter Skelter bar which will be selling the likes of spiced cider, mulled wine and other hot toddies to keep you warm.
Official lights switch one
As well as all of the above there will also be a large decorated Christmas tree of course and on Thursday the 24th of November it is the official switching on of the Christmas lights.
There will also be a variety of children’s rides, a traditional carousel, Santa’s toy ride, Helter Skelter rides and a couple of games to keep them amused.
Opening Times are: Christmas market – 10am till 6pm daily (8pm late night shopping) – Closed on Christmas Eve
Ice Rink - 11am until 10pm (last session start 9pm)
Winter Bars – 10am till late
