In London there are reports of Black Cabs offering customers to pay on PayPal, also Transport for London otherwise known as TfL says that card payment facilities will be available in ALL London taxis from October 2016 to combat there competitor - Uber

Not to worry as you don’t need an account to pay for your taxi as PayPal Here has been approved as a trusted payment method by Transport for London (TfL).

What is PayPal Here?

For those of you who are confused about this option, fear not as PayPal here works similar to a chip and pin device but is more flexible, let me explain...

You are able to do the following:

• Pay with your card
• Contactless Payment
• Apply Pay (for those who have iPhones)
• A Smartphone
• And even smart watches

To get people more involved in this “movement” passenger will see posters during their journey, which will display the choice and availability of different payment methods they can choose from to pay for their taxi.
