Things To Do In Nottingham 2016

It’s a new year for Nottingham as there are more things to explore and discover in our little city, in this blog I will be writing about what different places you can seek out to spend on your days off to relax and enjoy.

The first place we recommend is;

Wollaton Hall and Park, Wollaton Hall was designed by Robert Smythson and built by Sir Francis Willoughby between 1580 and 1588 for his family.

Wollaton Hall stands on a natural hill three miles west of Nottingham City Centre, Wollaton Hall is set in five hundred acres of spectacular gardens and parkland. The hall was used as the setting for Wayne Manor in the 2012 Batman film, Dark Knight Rises

The Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall is regarded as two of the UK’s most successful establishments with over half a million visitors a year, no wonder it’s doing so well.

Inside the hall, The Concert Hall is home to one of the largest electronic organs in the world

Theatre Royal is not only a city centre landmark but also one of the most beautiful Victorian theatres in Britain.

Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve

One of the most stunning nature reserves you can find in the UK, with a 450-acre radius. In 2002, it was officially declared a nature reserve by English Nature. What makes this forest so great is that the legendary Robin Hood used to live here.

The Corner House

This is one of the most popular attractions for the younger generation as the corner house houses a 14 screen cinema including an IMAX screen, not only that but it also has a bar, restaurants, Golf and a casino and even a comedy club, what more can you ask for, you can see that this place is jam packed with activities to do.
