First time I have used this service. I got a message the car would be 5 min. Then another message the car has arrived—super fast service. The driver was nice, and chatty and got me to my destination quickly. Appreciate it.
Visit Nottinghams Riverside Festival
It’s reaching August and that means the Nottingham Riverside Festival is on its way!Covering one mile along the Victoria Embankment of the River Trent and located near the Nottingham cricket ground, the festival is the most popular free festival weekend in the city.
With three days of family fun to enjoy the festival will include something for everyone to enjoy.
There will be large street fun fair with plenty of rides and attraction both new and old including steam engines, street theatre, a host of performers and a variety of craft and food and drink stalls.
For the little ones a children’s zone will be in place featuring a selection of FREE activities as well as being able to enjoy a dip in the permanent paddling pool or amuse themselves in the play area.
Across the weekend the festival will be a host to a range of local and further afield musical talent and styles including folk, jazz and world music.
Just on the Saturday
On the evening of the Saturday at roughly 10:30pm, the highlight of the festival will take place – a stunning riverside fireworks display!
Just on the Sunday
A charity Duck Race and various dragon boats races are activities that will only be happening on Sunday.
Tickets for the duck race can be purchased from various locations around Nottingham and Stalls at the Riverside Festival.
The Dragon Boat Challenge will involve around 20 teams battling it out over a 200m course on the River Trent, each race will take place every 10min or so from 11am – 4pm.
