What To Do In Nottingham On Bonfire Night

Here at Nottingham Cars, we love Bonfire night. In fact, November is probably our favourite month of the year! The leaves have fallen from the trees, leaving a warm orange crunch underfoot, the clocks have fallen back providing us with crisp dark evenings - and now Bonfire night is here!

We love wrapping up warm, getting a hot chocolate and standing around a warm bonfire watching beautiful firework displays.

But where are the best places to go to enjoy your Bonfire night in Nottingham? Here are a few popular spots you can spend your 5th of November...

Forest Recreation Ground.

If you haven’t been before, the city's annual free Bonfire Night celebrations at the Forest Recreation Ground is a must. This fantastic family friendly event, which includes fairground rides, a children's firework display, a bonfire, and a grand firework display! This event is very popular, so we recommend giving yourself plenty of time to get there and find a good viewing spot.

Erewash Bonfire and Fireworks Extravaganza at West Park in Long Eaton

If you’re based towards the south of the City, a great display to check out is the Erewash Bonfire and Firework extravaganza! This even is full night of family entertainment with the fire dance and pyrotechnic spectacular, ‘FlameOz’ performing live on stage – followed by a display of fireworks set to a variety of famous movie theme tunes! Family tickets for two adults and up to three children: £9.50 (saving £3). Admission is free for children aged five and under. Tickets available from: West Park Leisure Centre, Ilkeston Town Hall, Long Eaton Town Hall, Victoria Park, Ilkeston and Erewash Museum. Gates open at 17:30 and there will be live entertainment from 18:30.

Newark Rugby Club, Bonfire Night Extravaganza!

If you want to go the whole hog this year, you need to head to Newark Rugby Clubs Bonfire Night Extravaganza! With fairground rides, a licensed bar, a hog roast, chestnuts, fish and chips and cookies – this event has it all. Not forgetting a Bonfire and beautiful firework display! Gates open 6.30pm, the Bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm and the fireworks start at 7.45pm. Admission is £5 per pedestrian or £15 per car.

1st Clipstone Scouts Bonfire and Firework Display

This event will have a lovely large bonfire with fabulous fireworks as well as food and refreshments! Adults are priced at £2, children are priced at £1.50 and under 5s go free. Get down there at for the start at 6pm.
